I don't think were in Missouri anymore

My roomies, this picture is totally accurate on how we were during the Mission Trip
Hey Ya'll! As some of you may know, I went on a missions trip to Kansas City. I never got a change to write a blog post about it, because the day after I got home I headed off to camp. So here's what happened:
Two new friends, Ashish and CharLEE.
Two weeks ago, a group of high schoolers from our church got together on a sunny Saturday morning and headed toward Kansas City. During the week, we got to participate in many ministries including tutoring, backyard club, and helping out the Nepali refugee's in the area.
On Sunday, we got to participate in the Nepali Fellowship, it was a great new experience. When we got there, the kids taught us a game that was played with rocks and is a lot like jacks. It was such a neat way to connect to the kids. After that, we went inside and joined in worshiping God in Nepali as well as English. It was such  a clear example of how our God is omniscient. He knows and understands us, no matter what language.
We also got to participate in backyard bible club in which I got to meet so many kidos. One night after we had set up and kids were starting to arrive when it started pouring. But instead of leaving, we continued to play in the rain and had a good time. A little weather wasn't going to stop us!
Not only did I get to meet new people, but I also got to get closer with the group I came with. My favorite thing I got to with our group was every night, a group of us would go out and look at the stars and share what our day was like. It was a time of relaxation and sharing.
Overall, it was good week, now enjoy some photos (Photo credit: Sariah Henning, and Claire Middeke)
